For younger children, my methods involve using the Alfred series as the staple of the course, but I also incorporate games and some other things into the lesson to make it fun. For intermediate and Advanced students, it is a completely customized lesson plan to the individual so I can't really say what direction we take before I have had the chance to sit down and analyze their individual needs. Once the student has learned the fundamentals, I introduce them to the solo repertoire appropriate for their level and their genre of greatest interest to them. I hold a recital once a year to give students experience in performance. Read More

Each student will receive lesson plans tailored to their needs and their goals. I am always encouraging students to explore and try new things fosters confidence and creativity. I want to work on whatever my students are interested in! Read More

I love guitar and can talk music for hours on end. My development as a guitarist took me from being an arrogant teen who "knows everything" to an undergraduate music major finding shortcomings in my playing every day, to finding new things to incorporate in my playing beyond the fret-board. I have played in multiple bands in a rock, jazz combo, big band, and classical style I have taught and mentored other musicians for years. Read More
