My style involves around having a "recital" piece that we work on at all times, as well as technical exercises and different games to increase music theory, rhythm, sight reading, ear training, etc. We set goals and work to accomplish them in a timely manner. For younger beginners, I typically start with Hal Leonard’s essential elements, every once in a while, I encourage them to find their favorite song (it can be any type of music) to study and play in the lesson. It can be the entertainment during lessons. The purpose it to make lessons more fun and keep them motivated. I graduated from Stetson University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and from the University of Texas in El Paso (UTEP) with a Masters of Music in Piano Performance in 2022. I have performed in Italy, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Texas, on a solo level and collaboration. Hi! My name is Megan, and I have a Master of Music degree in Voice Performance and Choral Conducting from Andrews University. Before that, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Voice Performance from Southern Adventist University. I also have a minor in Disabilities in Society and took pre-nursing courses. I have decided to pursue a Music Therapy certification and Masters Degree in Music Therapy at Florida State University starting in Fall 2018.
