Attended Conservatory of Music, Chicago.
Full Time Performing And Teaching Musician.
I'm not a blah blah waste time type of guy who types long and elaborate descriptions of my amazing music career and alledged education. I'm easy to get along with and have experience teaching and playing full time for living. I've taught kids and adults. I've played in several states, the Bahamas, Casinos, Cruise Ships, you name it. I still truely enjoy playing guitar and consider teaching a great opportunity to share what I've learned over the years. You should give me a try if you'd like to have lessons with a teacher who cares and does his best to skip unnecessary information.
I began teaching while in college earning my music degree. I have taught on and off since then as my schedule and travel allows. Most of the people I meet that want to learn to play guitar have a specific goal in mind. Some want to learn to strum chords so they can sing their favorite songs. Some want to play lead guitar. Some what to play in rock bands. Some want to prepare for and learn that which is needed in order to join their school jazz band. Whatever you have for your goal, will be fine with me. I will be happy to assist you and to get you there.
I gear the lesson to you using whatever methods that may work for you. We can learn to read music. We can used tabs. We can play along with recordings. We can learn music theory. We can study a particular style that appeals to you. I have a system that I like to use that will teach you every note on the neck of the guitar. We can practice technical exercises and scales. We can learn movable and non-movable chords. The method is always whatever makes what your learning clear for you.
I'm easy going and practical and I do my best to help you succeed in any way I can. We can make lessons as bite size as you like or chunk it up for those who prefer that type of learning. One thing I'd like to mention is that, the actual work/effort required to play an instrument is done by you in your at home practice time. Sorry, but I don't know of any way around that. :) Like anything worth while, it takes some effort. Lessons can give you focus and direction, answer your questions, give you inspiration, and prevent you from wasting time going down dead ends, and more, My style is to get you up and running in the direction of your goals as soon as possible.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
