What I like to do in my studio is, set realistic goals for the student. I use "challenges" to help students achieve their goals. And reward them when they achieve them. I like using a lot of games as well to make piano learning fun. So I teach a lot of theory aspects using games with timers, and flash cards, dry erase dices and prizes when goals are meant. This is very important for me because when they achieve their goals, then they are happy and want more of that. Without fun this is impossible, if they really enjoy play their instrument, it never looks like hard work for them.
