For my intermediate students, I will teach them all 12 major keys and the circle of fourths and fifths and how they interplay with song writing and chord progressions. I will then teach them the chords of the scales and turn the chords into progressions and into songs. I have been singing since the tender age of three! I have loved singing and performing since then. This love has propelled me into the classrooms where I honed my craft. I also learned the discipline of practicing on other instruments as I went through high school at Emerson School for the Visual and Performing Arts. I graduated with honors as a vocal major. I later attended Wabash College and graduated as the only music major in the class of 2003. Read More

Christopher has had the opportunity to study abroad at the Siena Italy Music Festival playing the role of Monostatos in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte other notable roles are Nuradin, Tamino, the tenor in the trio from Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, Parpignol, Alfred, and First Notary in Sin City Opera's LaPerichole. Christopher's future performances include the role of King Kaspar in Voccalis International Singing Repertory Company's production of Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors as well as the role of L'aumonier in Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmelites. Beginning students will start out with technique practices, while introducing solo literature when appropriate. Technique studies can always be improved and studied, no matter a student's age or proficiency. I try to work within the repertoire a student is interested in at first, then expanding to materials and genres the student may find interesting to help broaden the experience and knowledge a student can gain from our lessons. No matter the age or ability level, I help students understand that each lesson and new idea or piece we learn adds to their experience, and experiences are building blocks for our futures. Read More
