I taught privately in my home studio as well as several lesson studios in and around the North Texas area for 4 years before moving to Chicago where I've continued to teach and perform full time. I don't generally start with a single method book, because I believe that in individual lessons, the methods used should be tailored to fit the student. I have used a variety of teaching books and methods, and will generally try to contour my methods to the needs of students while also keeping costs low. For Vocalists, the very foundation of proper singing will be taught: Posture, Breath Management, Muscle/Core Control, and Vowel Placement. These are the basics of good singing, in any genre.  I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level.  But don't worry!
