Singing and music has been part of my life since I can remember and I get so much joy helping people achieve their goals. I am a passionate and enthusiastic actress, singer, dancer, pianist, and teaching artist here in Chicago. I am a graduate of the Bachelor of Fine Arts Musical Theater program at the University of the Arts, where I realized my love of teaching while tutoring struggling music theory students. Read More

I teach vocal students from ages 6-adult. We work on breathing techniques, music theory, interpretation, and style. I like students to sing their favorite styles. I also expose them to songs that I feel would be appropriate for their growth. We also work on performance and auditions! I like to incorporate a lot of music theory and note reading into my teaching as well. Everyone is at a different level so I cater lessons to fit the needs of each student. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice Music
I teach all ages (4-75), all backgrounds, and all sorts of wants/needs. Some students just want to learn how to sing in choir more freely. Others are pursuing music degrees. Some want to learn how to play a song or two on the piano. Others want to take RCM exams. I love meeting students where they're at and helping them out along the way! I believe everyone can and should make music! Read More

Those lightbulb moments for students drive what I do. I love working hard with students to accomplish musical goals, pushing them beyond what they thought they were capable of. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for the student at each lesson, taking small steps to achieve larger goals. I tailor each lesson to the student, using fun, creative methods to keep each student making creative, engaged and fun music! Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice
I believe that each student has something unique to bring to the table, and that students should feel that they are valued because of their cultural identities, not in spite of them. I also believe that music in itself can be used as a means through which the world can be impacted for good. Bringing students to a positive outlet such as this, can bring about passion within themselves, for both music and other issues in the world, music being the way they express this passion and use it to send a message. Instruments: Voice
I am an engaged, driven teacher who loves guiding a student's exploration with his/her voice. Performing in Chicago and throughout the US, I enjoy singing with small local companies as well as companies like the MN Opera. I have had the opportunity to perform overseas, as a soloist for The Messiah in London, as well as in Florence. I look forward to using my performance experience to inform lessons. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, its important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments help fuel the students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs! Read More
