I’m an avid columnist for Modern Drummer Magazine and I sing/play guitar for one of Chicago's best Nirvana tributes called Smells Like Nirvana. I studied at Berklee College of Music and I have a huge passion for teaching. For beginning students, be they young or seasoned, I start from the very beginning with breathing and the anatomy of the body as it pertains to singing. As my students progress (or depending on their understanding of the basics) I move into more detailed work, such as how to feel and focus the placement of the sound in a locations within the singing mechanism. When I attended the Governor's School for the Arts in Norfolk, VA for high school, I realized that music and singing would be my career path for life.
