My journey into piano teaching began 2 years ago when I started working with a few adult learners. Since then I have had the opportunity to work with kids and adults of all ages and levels. Teaching is something I find incredibly rewarding and take very seriously. Watching a student progress and gain confidence is something that brings me joy and satisfaction. My teaching experience dates back to my high school days teaching younger students. Ever since I've been teaching in different music studios and schools. I teach individually and groups also. I love how my students would be able to play and perform a piece they really love in recitals and be able to participate in a group performance as well. I also taught voice classes, vocal jazz workshops, and coached a variety of vocal ensembles. The whole purpose of Seattle Glee Clubs was to have fun making music and theater. I have extensive choral, instrumental, vocal jazz ensemble, solo, and theater experience and have presented many recitals of art song, standards, and show tunes. In addition to my own performing, I held the position of bass section leader for the Seattle Jewish Chorale from 2010 2013 and over the years has served as soloist/section leader and music director for synagogues, and various other denominations. I began the study of trumpet in 1965 under the instruction of Les Beigle, noted Seattle trumpeter. In 1969, I graduated from Snohomish (WA) High School, where he played solo trumpet in the high school band under the direction of Edward Peterson.
