Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I started piano lessons in elementary school before discovering a passion for the guitar. Now, having earned a Music Theory degree from the prestigious Whitman College in Walla Walla, I celebrate my love of music through teaching as well as playing in the Spokane local group Mama Llama. With theory knowledge and years of practice in guitar, piano, voice, and bass, I landed roles in local Walla Walla opera productions and musicals and received the Campbell Music Scholarship before entering post-secondary education. With my teaching style, I prefer to work on what the student has an interest in if they are old enough to know. There is no better feeling than to work with a student who is enjoying the study of the current material. I also enjoy teaching beginning composition and bringing out the music from within. When the child is at a young age, I incorporate curriculum that targets ear-training and listening, reading, rhythmic awareness and time-keeping, and theory. Read More

I've been a Worship Leader, Minister of Music and Worship Pastor at various church in the Pacific Northwest. I started teaching guitar in 1994 as I love to give the gift of music. It grew to teaching all the instruments I play as well as voice because singing is a passion of mine. For beginning students I find it is very essential to make sure the student understands proper left hand and right hand technique before getting into the thick of theory. It's important that a student can play the instrument comfortably before they have to worry about playing in time, reading notation, etc. I've used Mel Bay and Hal Leonard books in the past, and I am also open to any literature the student may have.
