Practice is essential to growth, but if a student does not enjoy their repertoire, they simply won't practice. Therefore, I work to find common ground with students when selecting songs. I will not force Classical or Jazz, but feel the technique these styles teach are invaluable. Each student will learn music fundamentals and basic reading skills. I feel knowledge of the piano is helpful for all musicians so in early lessons I will teach piano skills to aid in practice. Read More

I love the harp and enjoy sharing its beauty with students of all ages! I started playing when I was eight years old and haven't stopped since. I enjoy doing gigs such as weddings and parties, but I also love taking my harp to schools and teaching students about this wonderful instrument. Currently, I own three harps - a pedal harp, a lever harp, and a lap harp. I enjoy each of them and love playing a wide variety of music on them. Read More

I teach the Faber and Faber method on piano, incorporated with a by ear curriculum that I've developed which also teaching music theory, I also keep a number of books i.e. Beatles Fake Book, Introduction to Bach, Well-Tempered Klavier, Hanon, Berklee Method in Rock and Jazz. I also encourage the student to play what they desire to play, be it a pop song or a classical masterpiece.
