The relationship between student and teacher is foundational for growth. I take time to get to know every student as an individual to help them feel supported and comfortable in lessons. I encourage each student to set realistic goals and work at their own pace. We will work on a piece until it is performance ready, meaning it is note perfect, memorized, and blocked. I am a flutist and music teacher who recently moved to western Washington. I leads masterclasses, adjudicates competitions and auditions, and perform throughout the community, and have played Flute and Piccolo with the Steamboat Symphony Orchestra since 2019. I earned my Master of Music degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Music at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
