I then moved on to teaching privately out of a music school and realized from that point, that I really enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge and passion with others. I find it rewarding and fulfilling to see my students get excited about learning music, my aim is to further grow their passion and thirst for musical knowledge. Rather than dictate to students exactly what and how they should practice, I always use my students' curiosity as a guide, and work on what is most interesting to them. My main teaching experience comes from working with multiple marching bands during their summer training camps. I worked as a percussion instructor and I taught marching techniques, playing techniques, drills, and rehearsed parts within the section. While in college I maintained a few beginning private students where my primary focus was establishing fundamental playing technique. I love motivating students with music that they enjoy.
