I believe in keeping the lessons very interactive by making sure that it is not just the student playing/singing. I keep the lesson flowing from one activity, or song, to the next by using a common goal throughout the lesson. I make a goal for each lesson known to the student so that the student can feel successful and accomplished at the end of every lesson. Read More

I have always had a love of teaching, and I especially love when a student achieves something that I know that they have been working very hard on in their lessons. Most students have 3 songs that they are working on at a time: 1) a challenge song: something that's a bit difficult and has significant room for growth, 2) a fun song: a current favorite that the student picks for herself/himself, and 3) a teacher's choice song: one that I choose for the student.
