For every student, beginner or advanced, I talk to them about the style of teaching I provide. I first talk to them about the different segments in the voice: lower "ah" segment, chest segment, chest pull-falsetto segment, pure falsetto segment, and upper "ah" segment. I provide different warm ups that work in each of the segments, helping the voice gradually connect them in time. Voice Students:While the basis for my vocal technique is rooted in the classical Bel Canto tradition, my students do not end up having a "classical" sound (unless that is what they want).
