For beginning students, I typically start with the Hal Leonard Method Books. Once the student can get the basics down I start with basic rock and pop tunes, or whatever music the student happens to be interested in. Forintermediateor advanced players, I try to gage where the student wants to go with the instrument and try to help them any way I can with theory or performance. I grew up singing in the children's choruses of The Metropolitan Opera and NYC Opera, dancing at The School of American Ballet in The Julliard School at Lincoln Center. I earned a college preparatory diploma from The Manhattan School of Music and went on to earn my BM and MM at Westminster Choir College (a world renowned choral conservatory in Princeton, NJ). In addition she had the pleasure of being a vocal/coach at the Amity Music Academy in Woodbridge, CT in which she moved on to the New Haven Academy of the Performing Arts teaching vocals/piano lessons, and she was also the Music Director of the Musical Theater Intensives, while at the New Haven of Performing Arts, I had the pleasure of joining an organization called International Voice Teachers of Mix, in which I am consistently being educated on the voice specifically mix technique .
