Lessons are fun, creative, and 100% interactive. My students learn to sing with more accuracy, confidence, and strength while learning a vocal technique that builds, strengthens, and improves their unique, natural voice. Students who are in school typically learn to sing in different languages, will learn how to read music, and will learn solo repertoire that will help build their confidence and musicality. Adult students who are in college or out of school will learn the style of music they want to learn the most. Read More

My junior year culminated with a semester in New York City working in an administrative/artistic internship at the Metropolitan Opera. During school, and immediately upon graduating, I was fortunate enough to see my interest in music and theatre education realized in my work opportunities. For the past few summers, I worked at four community arts organizations, as both a teacher and an administrator. I currently work at Hartford Stage company as an education apprentice, where I serve as a teaching artist in a variety of capacities, as well as assisting with general education department logistics. My love for singing started when I was eight years old. I grew up singing in the Los Angeles Childrens Chorus which gave me much experience as a working musician starting at age eleven. I sang alongside notable alumnus Billie Eilish, as well as with Gustavo Dudamel, the LA Phil, and the LA Master Chorale. I am completing my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst this year and plan to continue my studies of voice and vocal pedagogy in my graduate studies. I am a very organised teacher, giving each of my students lesson notes with exercises and aspects to work on. I regularly suggest music which complements the work we are doing to strengthen the voice, create flexibility, or consistency of tone. I am a bit of a perfectionist, but I also hold myself to that high standard. It is so important to me to get students to listen to themselves, to think critically about what they hear and feel, and also learn how to troubleshoot issues on their own! Read More

In my lessons, my highest priority is meeting students at their level and making sure that our work is helping them to progress towards theirs goals as a musician/instrumentalist. With a combination of focus on musicality, technique, and developing a musical vocabulary, students will both improve their fundamental skills on their instrument, while also expanding their more general musical understanding, all within a safe, supportive, fun, and encouraging learning environment. I create custom lesson plans for each student based on their goals, experience level, learning style, and musical interests. A typical voice lesson includes vocal warmups, ear training, style exploration, and repertoire work. I draw from vocal anatomy, healthy technique practices, and real-world performing experience to build strong, versatile singers. For piano students, I introduce music theory, rhythm, and note-reading in a clear and creative way that emphasizes musicality and confidence. Read More
