I am a Professional musician of 25+ years. I have performed, recorded, and toured all over the World sharing my gift along with many notable Musicians through various genres of Music. Effective music education is both developmentally and culturally appropriate: By working with the student to understand their interests, I hope to provide them with an experience that will enrich their musical and social life outside of the work we do together. Through infancy, I believe Music Learning Theory is effective for developing musical and linguistic skills. If a student in toddlerhood/childhood shows that they have a preferred way to express themselves musically, I will tailor lessons around the Kodaly (voice), Orff (instrumental), or Dalcroze (dance) philosophies. In my private lessons I emphasize building a strong foundation in rhythm, intonation, and note accuracy.  I incorporate learning theory, and playing with musical intention into every lesson to develop maturity, even in young musicians.  My students are comfortable reading music, and have all the skills they need to practice effectively.  In addition, I have prepared many musicians for successful concerts, festivals, and gigs. I vary my approach and I can go between different methods so that I can create a specific one for the student. I have studied and thought more classical methods like Arban, Clarke and Claude Gordon just to name a few. But also I believe in really using creativity to teach and learn.
