Seeing a student excel and reach their goals is the most rewarding experience a teacher can have. Everyone works at a different speed, and I expect each student to do the best they can do. I do not believe in forcing a "one size fits all" teaching method on every student. Each student has different goals, and I focus on reaching those goals at a pace that will challenge the student without feeling impossible or insurmountable. Read More

For the past 13 years I've been teaching private lessons in my studio as well as at students homes. I encourage regular practice on a consistent schedule especially for younger students, as it tends to help them progress and gain a passion for the instrument. MUSIC SHOULD AND MUST ALWAYS BE FUN. My Teaching style is relax but very educational. I use lots of examples and stories to get my point across. I let the student learn at their own speed without any pressure or rush. Read More

My teaching approach focuses heavily on the fundamentals of the instrument and its relationship to Music... All students are different so I tend to approach slowly and access their reactions to my suggestions. It is so important not to make a student feel pressured to achieve, especially in Music... I want their interest and will to excel to be their own personal choice and quest. I think it is important for students to feel supported by their teacher as I will make myself as accessible as possible to answer any question or instill inspiring words to motivate their progress.
