Teaching has been a regular part of my life since my undergraduate days. At the University of Idaho, I had the opportunity to be a Learning Assistant for freshman music theory, aural skills, and jazz theory; a position that involved more actual teaching than the typical teaching assistantship. I began playing the piano when I was eight, picked up the saxophone at ten, and have been playing flute and clarinet now for about six years. I like to impart a holistic love of music in my students, without boring them with too much history or theory.
