I want my students to enjoy learning. Students often comment that I'm funny, respectful, and patient. They think this is important because laughter relaxes instruction a bit, respect should go both ways between instructors/students, and a patient teacher reduces student frustration when they mess up. Teaching environments have included school classrooms, music studios, and privates homes each presenting their own unique challenges. Some students have been very young children without any specific musical goals, while other students have been mature adults wanting to learn specific songs or techniques.
