My teaching experience dates back to my college days. I taught privately while attending Stetson University. There I helped develop secondary minors on developing their piano skills or to tutor those needing help in class piano. In 2012 I was offered a full Scholarship and assistantship to Tulane University where I taught piano minors. Primarily worked on standard classical repertoire, sightreading, technique, and theory. For piano I prefer Faber Piano Adventures and have different books I would recommend starting with depending on the students age and experience. For guitar and ukulele I prefer using the Hal Leonard method books. I often supplement these method books with outside sources and pieces as is appropriate for the student. For singing students, I have a wide variety of books and resources depending on the musical style. I come from a classical voice background, so when students are middle school age and older (sometimes earlier) we begin learning Italian Art songs in addition to musical theater pieces and English folk songs.
