I have been teaching music for over 18 years, primarily guitar. I have taught music for retail, private learning and performing arts centers. I have taught electric and acoustic guitar, bass, mandolin, music theory, sight reading, scales and modes, and improvisation. In conjunction with this series,I will supplement with other pieces that I feel will inspire and challenge them. if the student requests a certain piece or style of piece they would like to work on, I definitely make sure to grant it to them. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with John Thompson's The Easiest Piano Course, Part1 and I always try to reach Part 4 with the student. After 6 mounts of having lessons with the same kids I am offering them to perform in front of there parents, friends and neighbors.
