I have taught numerous students from when they were just a mere 5 or 6 years old until they graduated high school. Watching these students grow along with so many others has been the most rewarding experience for me. Whether it be performing in a piano competition or simply playing for loved ones at home or student recital, it is my greatest desire to help! I had the opportunity to study abroad in Russia for over a year and was able to pick up some of the language as well! Read More

I teach the basics first. I show my student how to hold the bow and the violin in detail. I explain that it will be awkward to hold the bow in correct position because it is unusual for person to hold the right hand that way. After several days of practice, this bow hold will become more natural to the student. Holding the violin in the proper position is also important in order to be able to play music. Read More

In middle and high school, I performed on saxophone, bassoon, drum set, all percussion, and guitar every year. I performed jazz, classical, military, big band, and marching band music. Served as head of the drumline in high school and taught many musicians how to perform on the snare drum, multi-tenors, bass drums, and mallet percussion. In college, I got more busy with schoolwork :( but I had time to compose music on my own and join a local pop-punk band called Shout London. Read More

I understand that each student is unique and has their own individual needs and abilities. Some students may be more advanced and need a greater challenge, while others may need more support and encouragement. That's why I adapt my teaching approach for each student, ensuring that they are learning at a pace that is appropriate for them. Whether a student is just starting out or has been playing for years, I believe that there is always room for improvement and growth. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice
I strongly believe that everyone can learn to sing as long as they desire to learn and are willing to practice. I enjoy working with students of all ages and abilities, and pride myself on being able to teach pretty much anyone and everyone. I begin all students with the same fundamentals: a healthy, natural, honest voice centered on the breath and not forced into any specific mold. This healthy base enables my students to sing a wide variety of genres and styles from classical, opera, musical theatre, jazz, rock, pop, country, and more. Read More

I started teaching private piano lessons while getting my masters in piano. I have over 25 years of experience and can adapt my teaching style according to the needs of the students. I have worked with students with IEPs in school, retired individuals who just want to enjoy making music, and very young beginners. Sme of my students have continued their musical studies and have been accepted in music colleges. Even if they eventually switch to a different musical instrument, the knowledge and experience gained in piano lessons cannot be measured because all aspects eventually make further learning much easier.
