For piano I prefer Faber Piano Adventures and have different books I would recommend starting with depending on the students age and experience. For guitar and ukulele I prefer using the Hal Leonard method books. I often supplement these method books with outside sources and pieces as is appropriate for the student. For singing students, I have a wide variety of books and resources depending on the musical style. I come from a classical voice background, so when students are middle school age and older (sometimes earlier) we begin learning Italian Art songs in addition to musical theater pieces and English folk songs. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music and want to continue to play the violin not just as a hobby! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson and knowing the strength behind private lessons as opposed to group lessons only. The student is more likely to progress if they are consistently practicing and have private lessons with their teacher to develop technique and skill in a one-on-one learning environment. Read More

I was trained in the Leschetizky and Schnabel methods, so those are the primary influences of my technical approach. As for method books for young students, it depends on their strengths and needs which I assess in the first lesson. From that assessment, I assign a methods book that best fits them. If none of them are satisfactory, I have a library of my own written exercises and methods that I provide for free. Read More

My versatility and musicianship has allowed me to help over 150 students start or progress their musical journeys since I first began teaching professionally in 2021. When I'm not teaching in a studio, I can usually be found on one of the various stages around the Orlando area! Since arriving in town, I've performed in all three stages of the Dr. Read More

My style is relaxed, making sure not to cause any stress from overpracticing or the worst--teaching in an intimidating tone. I put myself in the students shoes in order to understand what particular skills need to have more attention put towards them. I may seem difficult to tutor through video, so I have earbuds with a boom microphone to ensure I can hear you as clearly as possible and you can hear my voice as clearly also. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice
As a teacher I am not afraid to challenge students. They need to be challenged. They welcome challenges. The bigger the challenge, the greater the rewards in self-esteem and confidence are when they perform a difficult piece of music they thought they would never be able to play. Years of experience have exposed me to countless approaches when it comes to technical exercises. I believe in scales and arpeggios. All piano students need to be proficient in them, but that is only the starting point. Read More
