I have been playing the piano almost all my life. The passion I have for music of all kinds is contagious. My parents were opera singers, I grew up in a Latin American setting, and I performed with a symphony orchestra at the age of 13. I have taught piano to students of all levels and ages. I love to share with my students the marvels that are found in music, from the composers to their individual styles, to enjoying improvisation and multi-piano/hands arrangements.

Minnie got the 1st Place in the Billboard Magazine songwrting contest in 1989, 1990 and 1991 consequently. Also, she was the recipient of the Hispanic Achievement Award in 1992 as The Soloist of the Year; The best of Philly Magazine in 1989 and 1992 and the pioneer of the latin jazz in Puerto Rico in the eighties. At the present time, she tours with her Sophisticated Fiesta Band and teacher voice, piano and guitar in her private studio, in Orlando, Fl where she lives.
Music has been a paramount part of my development in growing up as a person. I grew up listening to all kinds of different genres, and eventually developed an aspiration to do music for a living. I began playing guitar so I could write my own music and be able to perform my work at venues. Around the same time I was beginning to help out kids at my church's daycare and would soon find that I also had a passion for teaching people as well. I currently play in the Pop Alternative band out of Orlando, FL and have played in over a hundred different venues.
I am a guitarist hailing from Central Florida. I love to just rock out to anything that sounds good from metal to country; if it sounds good I'll play it. I've been playing since the age of 6 and was heavily influenced by KISS, my favorite band. I play many styles of music including Rock, Metal, Blues, Jazz, Country, and Classical. I've played in numerous bands such as The Dream Lake Project, Dead Fall, OD, and with many show case artist such as Jimmy Bridgewater , Larry Black, and The Smokey Jackson Band. While in Florida I was the go-to guy for session work at Omega 4 Studio doing jingles and backing tracks for TV and independent movies. When not out playing or in the studio I teach guitar and do guitar clinics for JB Player Guitars. Right now I am working in the studio when I have the time making a debut solo CD, a slow work in progress called Electrica Acoustica Exotica. The title says it all; it will be a mixture of heavy guitars and catchy acoustic tunes.
My passion for music was awakened when I first began receiving classical piano lessons at age five. My love of music and desire to create and learn continuously grew as I achieved my Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree at Palm Beach Atlantic University. It was there that I also realized my passion for teaching! After completing my bachelor's degree, I enjoyed two years of teaching pre-k through middle school music, elementary choir, and percussion ensemble as the music teacher at Summit Christian School, while also giving private piano and voice lessons. Although I loved teaching music to typical students, I began to realize that the need for music education went much deeper. So, I decided to continue my path in the field of education by obtaining a Master of Education degree in Exceptional Student Education at the University of Central Florida (2014). It was through my classes and internships at UCF, but most of all my experiences as a classroom teacher for students with autism, that I began to more fully understand the important role that music plays in the lives of all children -- especially children with autism and other related disabilities. Now my greatest desire has become to share with students, with and without disabilities, the musical passion that I have been so fortunate to experience, while facilitating their growth and development not only musically, but physically, socially, emotionally, and academically as well.

Andrew is very encouraging and uplifting, but also isn't afraid to tell you your weaknesses. Andrew also is super awesome with scheduling. Fits around your schedule all the time. He really knows what he is doing and can help you reach your goal in the time you would like to. Couldn't have gotten a better teacher, who continually helps me grow and pushes me.

Rebecca has been super with my son! He is 8yrs old and has mild aspergers. He has never played an instrument before but after one lesson with his teacher he could keep a beat on his drums. She is able to keep his attention and really makes it fun! She is flexible and easy going. I highly recommend her for any lessons. Very nice teacher! Thank you Rebecca for your outstanding service!!

"Mr. Richard has been absolutely perfect for our very active two boys. He has been an excellent fit for gauging and keeping their interest far beyond what we had imagined. Our boys actually argue over who gets to go first. Mr. Richard knocks it out of the park when it comes to exceeding our expectations"

Vince is a great drum teacher for my 8 year old son. We go to his house where he has a studio setup with a huge drum set. He has been very patient but really holds my son responsible for learning the right way to play. After about 5 lessons, my son is playing some rhythms on the drums and reading music. He looks forward to his lessons with Vince.

"My daughter is 10 years old and has been taking piano lessons with Mr. Dale J. for almost 4 years now. She is progressing nicely. His kind and gentle way make for a very positive learning experience. Mr. Dale J. is encouraging without being harsh or belittling. He is patient and the ideal instructor for my daughter."

My daughter has been taking piano lessons through her school district program for the last two years. She had learned a lot in that class but I noticed that she needed advanced classes at this point. After reviewing several websites I decided to enroll my daughter for the trial at MUSIKA. We got Mrs. Veronica B., and I am more than happy we got her as my daughter's teacher. Mrs. Veronica B. was very professional and very knowledgeable at the trial day. She was able to assess my daughter skill's level, and then she was able to give suggestions about how to improve those skills. My daughter has taken 5 classes with Mrs. Barker, and I can see she enjoys each class and she's improved a lot since day one. I can picture my daughter playing her favorites songs on the piano very soon!!! :-)

After my first piano lesson, Polina is easily the best teacher I could have hoped for. Extremely charismatic and excited to help YOU learn the piano. She puts a lot of effort into evaluation your learning style and will no doubt help you make tremendous strides! I'm stoked to continue taking lessons!

Melissa is very encouraging, positive, supportive and patient. She knows how to explain the technical details of flute and music notation to kids in a way that makes sense to them. She has been reliable so far turning up on time and calling if there is a need to reschedule. I would definitely recommend her to others.

Brett is an accomplished musician, who shared his knowledge at a level that my five year old understands. He is polite and relaxed in his mannerisms but take a serious approach to focusing on the lesson. He is very patient and engaging with the attention span you'd expect from a kindergartener. His motto ever is "sometime you learn faster by going slow"
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
