In 2002 I joined my city's orchestra, the "Ciudad Guayana" orchestra in Venezuela. I played both first and second violin throughout my 16 years of being there. I initially will teach beginners by learning the musical alphabet, identification of keys on the piano,direction of sounds on the piano  How to hold their hands and the proper way to use their hands and fingers to play notes We begin our music by playing songs on the piano with letters in order to acquaint the position of the notes on the piano  We then transition to reading notes on the staff We learn about Rhythm of the music  Values of notes and how they receive the amount of time they get  I teach them to read time signatures and values of the time signatures,We study how rests are acquainted in relation to the type of note we use As the student progresses we start learning about Key Signatures, Flats, Sharps Accidentals, Scales and Chords Depending upon the age of the person I will use different books to help them begin playing or continue playing at the level they arrived at and progress thereafter   I cover a wide scope of Theory  My belief is that a student should understand why they are playing a note, rhythm, chord  I believe my students should not only learn to play a particular piece but any piece on the level they are at in their studies Read More

I start my lessons with asking the student to give me their top 10 favorites songs that they would like to learn and based on their level I will select one song to start. I start with the essential elements of theory and basic chords. Once the student has progressed I will beging to introduce different styles of music to find out what the student is interested in, and build a lesson's plan designed specifically fot the student and keeping the motivation and fun classes regardless of their ability level. In conjunction with this series,I will supplement with other pieces that I feel will inspire and challenge them. if the student requests a certain piece or style of piece they would like to work on, I definitely make sure to grant it to them.
