I started regularly teaching private lessons in 2019. I worked at the Wilmette Parks District, the Park District of Highland Park, Dynamic Music, and as a freelance teacher. I also was a music director for the Wilmette Children's Theatre, the Florida Repertory Theatre, and Highland Park's summer programming. I've been playing guitar since I was eight, piano since I was twelve, and I've been singing my whole life. I use the basic classical warm ups , fundaments of classical singing , strengthening the diaphragm and voice placement. Building range slowly and carefully while building stamina through exercises and pieces that will help the individual voice grow. For Jazz , I use The Michele Weir Jazz Improvisation as a starting point. I always like to give the opportunity to the students to work on the material that they are more interested in. If the lesson is with a beginning student I work mostly on technique and when I feel the student is ready we move on to repertoire. In 2015, I was also featured as the soprano soloist in Beethovens 9th Symphony with the Clinton Symphony Orchestra under the baton of maestro Charles Schneider. I also have years of experience performing in plays and musical theater. My most notable roles include Mrs.Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, Ariel in The Tempest, Lucinda in Into the Woods, Tessie Tura in Gypsy, and Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. My students generally focus on vowel shape, vocal placement, breathing technique, and expanding range through knowledge of the head, chest, and mix voices (including belting).
