I am a passionate artist and teacher who loves working with students and helping them become the best musicians they can be! I graduated from Oklahoma City Universitys Wanda L. Bass School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre and a Bachelor of Music in Opera Vocal Performance. I have studied voice, music theory, piano and vocal pedagogy extensively. As a singer, I've performed throughout the US and in Europe, including NYC's Carnegie Hall, Boston's Symphony Hall, LA's Disney Hall, and the Festival Musique en l'Ile in Paris, as both a soloist and an ensemble singer. Following this, we'll engage in some singing with scale degrees (numbers) i.e. 1, 1-2-1, 1-2-3-2-1 etc. It's another fun way to work on aural skills. I'll then proceed to take them through some basic foundation building technical scales and repertoire. My musical background began when at 7 yrs. old I was playing the piano with my mothers instruction. I became a self taught student in brass and piano and later was accepted as a Music major to West Chester University. During HS I became known as a trumpet soloist in Regional and State Bands and in the Salvation Army brass program a cornet soloist.
