This past summer I was selected as one of 18 young artists for the Up North Vocal Institute, a highly selective opera performance program with applicants all around the world. I have also played trumpet for the Marching Band, Big Band, Baroque Ensemble, and was the principal trumpet of the Moravian College Community Orchestra. Soon I was asked to teach the other dancers to sing as well, and those were my first singing students. I’ve been teaching singing ever since. Even though Musical Theater is my first love, many of my students study a wide variety of music styles and bring personal storytelling skills to all music. My goal for them is to watch them grow into the best musicians they can be because I see so much potential in them. Genres , artist etc. I believe as an artist you should make your own choices and see for yourself what kind of singer you want to be. That starts with the choice of song you choice then we can work our way up to learning it and perfecting it.
