I have been teaching for five years, beginning in Denver, Colorado. I began teaching Glee themed camps and dance classes through an organization in Denver, and then moved on to choreograph children's musicals (the largest of these had 80 children ages six to eighteen!). At my next studio I choreographed and music directed shows (Cinderella Junior and Aladdin Junior). At my busiest in Denver I had thirty-four private students. Adult students can opt to go to the next book in the series (Book II and III of the 'modern' piano course). For String students I am comfortable in the 'Essential Elements' series, 'String Builder' series and 'All for Strings' methods as an excellent base with which to start. My teaching style is relaxed and encouraging of every student. No student should be made to feel less than, regardless of what experience level they are bringing to the studio. Respectful interaction and gentle redirection has served me well when working with students, even when they become frustrated. I believe that all students are able to carry their dreams out to the fullest as long as they put a little hard work and dedication.
