As a tactile learner myself, I tend to encourage each student to bring a pencil to their lessons, to mark their music in whatever way helps them, as well as colored pencils to highlight dynamics and articulation. I like to tailor my teaching methods to each individual student. I know from taking lessons myself that no two violinist are alike, and it would be silly to teach as if they were. For my younger students, I really like to focus on the fundamentals of violin technique so that they can have a firm foundation on which they can improve. I also try to include music theory and music history into my lessons so that a student leaves each lesson not only as a better violinist, but as a better overall musician. Read More

I teach a predominantly Suzuki as I learned with the Suzuki method and I am trained as a Suzuki instructor.
