I've performed in several orchestras at the college level and competed in a variety of fiddle contests throughout the state of Texas, most recently the Fiddler's Frolics in Hallettsville, Texas. I have been a volunteer after-school violin instructor in the Houston Independent School District (Roosevelt Elementary, Gallegos Elementary, and Martinez Elementary) and local Jewish community centers. I'm also very active in the Houston opera and theater communities and have performed in nearly a dozen productions in the area, often in small accompanying orchestras and as a soprano and/or actress. I has been immersed in the wonderful world of music since 2009. I started my studies at the Conservatorium of Music of Carabobo, where I learned about music theory, harmony and history of music. There I began to fall in love with sounds, especially the sounds of bowed string instruments and started to learn Viola and Violin. Thus developing different kind of musical works, both classical and cultural, I had the opportunity to perform and be part of several Symphonic Orchestras and groups to play different types of repertoire and musical genre. I also do Suzuki books trainings and use other outside resources as well. These techniques will help them apply in the future when they want to work on other pieces. I will also be assigning scales of course to help improve their ear training, etudes, exercises to build up even more technicality and for musicality, I will be assigning fun classical music pieces but if student wants modern music, that’s also fine too. As a strong believer of the KIPP mission and vision, I work hard to instill the truths spoken to me behind the process of getting to and through college, constantly reminded by the words of Marianne Williamson that “our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure.” There are 2 things that I believe in regards to education: 1) All students can/will learn. 2) It is not whether or not you are smart, but rather HOW you are smart, citing Gardner's Theory of Intelligence. My teaching began simply by teaching fellow classmates in my school years but at the end of high school i quickly began to branch out to other students. By 19 i had about 20 students from the age of 5 all the way to age 45, from beginner to advanced levels. My Goal is to create a fun, and safe lesson environment where my students feel motivated to cultivate and grow their love and understanding of music, theory, technique, and performance skills. Also while studying with Kato Havas , I learned her method to manage the stage fright for string players. Among of many important teachers both in US and Italy I have studied with Giusto Cappone (left), the legendary principal violist of the Berliner Philharmoniker during the golden era of Herbert Von Karajan, and the world famous DGG recordings. I also studied at the Juilliard School with Karen Tuttle, William Primrose's assistant, and William Lincer, former principal violist of the New York Philharmonic. Read More

I only want my students to have a positive experience when leaving our lesson. I am constantly letting them know what they've done well, along with what goals we need to work on. I focus on the sandwich method, which is one positive trait, something to work on, then another positive trait. Everyone is different, so their learning pace is different as well. I do expect them to put at least some effort in at home via practicing (although I know things come up sometimes), otherwise it would be hard to find progress when they haven't practiced what we were working on.
