For the beginning and intermediate trumpet, cornet, alto horn, baritone, euphonium and bass student, we will use Arban's Complete Conservatory Method. The speed of progress will depend on the students basic knowledge of musicality. For the beginning and intermediate trombone student, I have my own teaching plan as well as Blazhevich's School for Trombone in Clefs. Again, the speed of progress will depend on the students degree of musicality. For the advanced student on any instrument we will concentrate on playing duets and quartets by Gabrelli. we will also focus on the history and theory of music while composing our own etudes. I've also found that a combination of classical and jazz music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the trumpet and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More
