My journey in music took a couple of unexpected turns. As a youth, it was my intention to get a degree in trumpet performance, but life held a different path for me and I put the instruments away. Some years later, my wife- knowing how much I continued to enjoy music- suggested I take up trumpet again and I did, for which I'll be eternally grateful! For the past 4 years, I have been at Seton Hall University studying to become proficient in Contemporary Trumpet and to possess solid skills in the collection of all other brass and woodwind instruments in order to teach music. I am fully qualified and most of my teaching experience comes from my students and teaching music within my church. My first quarter Sight travel across America playing a fusion of African traditional music and jazz. I released 2 albums under that name and have had the music played on satalite radio. I was born in Newark New Jersey in 1948 and began a life long love affair with the Trumpet at the age of three and a half years old. By the age of twelve I was performing in local clubs and was exposed early on to Newark Jazz greats such as Sarah Vaughn, Wayne Shorter, Woody Shaw and Larry Young.
