I enjoy helping each student reach their unique goals as an individual. I am trained as an opera singer and I specialize in classical/operatic and musical theater repertoire. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 5 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. Understanding the experience we have with music in our everyday lives, allows us to personally connect with the music and sounds that speak to us, while aslo nurturing creativity and curiousity within our instrument. I graduated with my Bacholers in Music and Pyschology with a focus on opera voice in 2009. In my performance program I really grew as a vocalist and learned how to overcome my own obstacles and improve my vocal technique for myself. I feel confident now in sharing my experience and my education with my students so they are able to really grow and improve as well. I've been teaching for over 7 years. In Bolivia I directed a children's chorus and a high school chorus. Besides teaching music I also tutored kids in various academic subjects and taught dance classes.
