My teaching experience began at a young age. I started volunteering lessons for the youth in my church. I played keyboard on the worship team for several years and some youth students showed interest so I would teach them every now and then. In 2017, I started teaching private lessons at a studio in Fort Worth. I really started to enjoy it, and as I kept on teaching for years to come (going on 6 years now), I've just fallen in love with it! Read More

I've been teaching steady for 6 years now at All about music and arts. I've had several students through the years; young and older. From students who are new to music (starting from zero). I began teaching piano at age sixteen at a music studio and have taught continuously since that time. I have successfully taught piano, guitar, and uke in my own studio as well as for other studios for many years and feel strongly that students should learn in a way that is motivating and rewarding. I have extensive experience working with young students as well as adults, and teach a variety of styles and genres of music including classical, pop/rock, country and contemporary praise music. I usually balances the time by working first on fundamental/technical aspects of the instrument: intonation, articulation, rhythm, and tone; followed by study of the particular student's chosen repertoire, whether it be jazz standards, rock/pop/blues tunes, classical literature or etudes. I believe in teaching students to organize their practice time wisely, isolating specific issues on the instrument. Cultivating personal musical goals with each student is also very important, in order to maximize the student's enjoyment of the time they spend playing. Read More
