My initial lesson with the student is to learn what they do and do not know and to establish proper playing and hand techniques. I interact with the students to learn what they enjoy playing and what they want to accomplish as well. It is very important to me to make music fun and interesting for them to learn. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire on sheet music appropriate for their level of performance.
