Instruments: Guitar Drums
I will teach them at their pace and include songs at their level to make it interesting. In Dec I do Christmas Songs, Duets with my students and as they progress I will even pair them with a student on the same instrument to duet with or with a drum or guitar student (different from their instrument ) to get a band feel! That is always so awesome for all involved! Read More

As a teacher, I have a great passion for helping students of all ages reach their musical goals and expand their potential. In 2014 I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance. At Baylor I had the opportunity to study all areas of orchestral, solo, and contemporary percussion with world renowned percussionist and teacher Dr. Todd Meehan. In 2016 I graduated from Rutgers University with my Master of Music in Jazz Studies. Read More

I am a caring, intuitive, and experienced musician and teacher. Small-group situations such as studio lessons or chamber music groups find me at my happiest and most fulfilled. I have premiered exciting new works at NYU's Tenri Center, at Stony Brook, Bennington College, Queens College's Aaron Copland School, the LI Composers Alliance, and my alma mater Indiana University. I especially enjoy varied religious settings, for example as concertmaster of the holiday orchestra at St. Read More

Establishing a trusting and balanced bond between teacher and student is imperative to musical growth. Everyone has their own tastes, goals and preferred learning and communication styles. I take pride in embracing more of a mentoring approach, tailoring my teaching style and materials to each individual student in hopes of guiding them on their musical journey rather than choosing it for them. I believe in creating a strong basis of knowledge in theory, technique, and composition (at the levels appropriate for the student's current progress). Read More

My rich experience with various genres and styles has allowed me to teach over 20 students for the past 5 years, and I would be happy to teach you! In my lessons, I show my students how joyful music can be, while teaching them the important fundamentals of piano technique, theory, harmony, and ear training. Everything in a very positive and relaxed environment. I teach all styles and geners and I find my way to the student- each student is something else and I enjoy it! Read More

For music sight-reading on the guitar, for students of all styles (except Classical-exclusive), with my youngest students up through high school I use Mel Bay's "Modern Guitar Method Grade 1" & optionally Grade 2 (depending on the direction and progress of the student) before moving onto Hal Leonard's Musicians Institute "Music Reading For Guitar" book. For adult students not studying Classical or Jazz, I make sight-reading of music optional, but I still make music theory mandatory for the student in order to provide a broad understanding of the music they learn, as well as provide knowledge on how to improvise their own guitar solos. I started teaching privately in 2010 and have helped students of all ages prepare for their exams (grades 1 to 8), auditions and other performances. Most of my students are long-term students and have been learning with me for 3-4 years, with some up to 6 years. I take great pride in their success and they have had a 100% success rate in the ABRSM exams. In addition to teaching privately, I have also taught in various primary schools in the London Borough of Newham (including in Winsor and Park primary schools), teaching violin to small groups of students in Years 5 and 6 (4th and 5th Grade) to take steps 1, 2 and grade 1 in the ECAM programme created by the London College of Music and the University of West London.
