I began teaching the Suzuki method and I love to hold group lessons as it encourages and fosters healthy growth. Since then, I have taught all over Pennsylvania and extensively studied different teaching methods to build a flexible program that is best for the student! I place a large importance on spreading music education, as this world desperately needs more passionate artists. I began teaching privately in 2014 when my 65 year old neighbor asked me to help him rekindle the flame in violin playing. Since then, I have greatly expanded my studio and taught private students of ages ranging from 3-65 of all levels. As an active concert violinist,Ihave appeared with the Boston Symphony Orchestra,the Brockton Symphony and Quincy Symphony Orchestras, and enjoy frequent guest appearances with the Lowell and Waltham Philharmonic Orchestras. While performingat The Universitat Mozarteum Akademie Salzburg,I was recently named Laureatefor my execution of 21st century composer Lera Auerbach's 'T'filah' for Solo Violin. As an orchestral musician, I was Concertmaster of The Juilliard Orchestra, hold the Principal Second position in Solisti Ensemble, and was featured member of the critically acclaimed Axiom Ensemble. With all my students, I like to first figure out their goals and tailor our lessons to match each individuals aspirations. For every singer I will assign various vocal exercises to practice each week. We also will work on sight-reading exercises to encourage a high level of musicianship. For beginners, I typically like to start with the 24 Italian Arias and/or light musical theater pieces to establish a good technical foundation and gradually move on to more advanced repertoire. With my students, I always try to find what they want to achieve and tailor my lessons towards that. I always love seeing my students improve and teaching is one of the most rewarding jobs. I set weekly goals for my students, and keep track of their progress in personal journals. Each student is different, and progress will vary from student to student.
