For beginning students who are children, I typically start with my own method based on fundamental approach to trumpet playing, such as Arban, Maggio, Collin and Clark methods. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I love music and love teaching the fundamentals of singing. Along with my background as an English Teacher, I'm able to help students with diction and breath control with singing. I come from a family of wedding singers but my love of performance came from joining a capella groups. I love collaboration and using the voice to create sounds.
