So I discuss the parts of the guitar and their functions. I teach how to tune in various ways. I like to use Hal Leonard's Guitar Method book 1, which covers what I have already described. For young students, the Suzuki method is great, since the repertoire is all fun! Also the CD that comes with every level is vital! Children enjoy and benefit from that.
