I believe that I have a natural talent for teaching. I was able to solve varied problems or my students. Whether it is stiff hands, bad hand position habits, inability to play polyrhythms, articulation issues, phrasing and ornaments or a general frustration at being unable to control the sound, I have demonstrated time and time again that these problems are not insurmountable. I encourage, when applicable, parent participation, their help and support but if these positives are missing, I found a way to redeem the situation and that resulted in tremendous self-esteem boost of my piano pupils. Born in Udine (Italy) on May 24th 1994, I grew up in a musical environment and started taking music lessons at the age of 3, under the instruction of Giorgio Cozzutti. In 2003, keeping on taking theory and solfeggi rudiments, I started playing piano under Cozzutti’s mentorship, but ended up quitting 2 years later. After a while, almost randomly, in a music store, I discovered electric bass, falling in love with it immediately. Read More

Passion, discipline and perseverance. Three key words to become a competent musician in a competitive industry as music is. Learned and mastered music training in Westchester Community College and put all that training into practice in the greatest city in the world, NYC. Have been performing in NYC for 10 years now and I can honestly say by not giving up, a whole new world opened up, opportunities I have never even dreamed before. Read More

I have an open approach to teaching guitar, and encourage students to utilize knowledge obtained through my lessons in whatever context they prefer as opposed to gearing them towards a certain style of playing. Much of my own teaching was based in jazz, but I have managed to find myself utilizing much of what I was taught playing in a heavy, shoegazey rock band. The preferences of my students are important to me, and while setting goals for progress is important, it is important to me that students learn at their own pace and move forward on their own initiative. I have a variety of books I use for beginning students, depending on age and level, including the Alfred guitar book for kids. Regardless of level, I always help students learn some music they are already interested in, as that is a key path to enjoying both the pure joy of music itself and the delight of learning something you didn't know you could do. Another important pathway that I explore with students, earlier or later depending on the student, is to begin to learn to improvise and compose their own music. Read More
Instruments: Flute Piccolo
My teaching experience dates back to when I was in high school when I would help students in my high school band program with audition repertoire and other flute issues. I began teaching privately in high school, and I have continued since. Right now, I am an Adjunct Instructor in Flute at New York University, where I teach undergraduate NYU students private lessons. I am also an instructor on the website TakeLessons, where I teach online lessons to students as young as 7 years old. Read More
