My music teaching experience started after I graduated from college. I held private lessons to students who were preparing for auditions, recitals, NYSSMA, college applications, and to people who just simply love playing music. I have taught students ranging from elementary school to retirees. I encourage students to practice every day and help them stay motivated. I also urge my students to participate in recitals and competitions and play in orchestras and string ensembles, which will help them making friends and improve their communication skills. Read More

Assuming that they are I will ask them to play a little bit of what they have prepared, just so I can get a general sense of where they are in their journey on the violin. After they finish playing I start by explaining what I noticed from a technical standpoint, so that this way they know what to be aware of and work on while they are in the practice room as it pertains to their setup. After finishing an apprenticeship in carpentry and becoming a certified carpentry journeyman, I worked as a trade showroom carpenter in Berlin and Vienna. For my mandatory conscription in Austria, I served as an ambulance paramedic. I obtained a bachelor's and a master's in music and dance performance and education at leading universities in Salzburg and Barcelona.        I have studied with several professional, performing musicians, but most of my learning has come from books, magazines and listening. Listening is, quite simply, the best teacher you can have, provided you do it properly. I have played music since age eight, in school bands, jazz bands, blues, and rock bands.
