Many of my songs from my two solo albums I've released have been licensed/used in feature films, T.V., and more for National Geographic, AMC TV, ESPN Films, MTV, and more; and my music has been heard on both the radio and TV in over 35 countries. I bring my vast experience as a seasoned professional musician and my 26+ years of teaching guitar, music theory, and ear training to bring my students some of the most motivating, well-rounded, custom-tailored, and effective music lessons they could ever find. I usually start by assessing my student's current level. If my student is a complete beginner, I have a tried and true method of getting them started quickly. Once the student has mastered the fundamentals, I will present additional exercises and songs to work on. For students that are already experienced players, I create a lesson plan that matches their level and their goals. Usually, I work on songs, incorporate technique and music theory exercises, and do not just learn them boringly. Read More
Instruments: Saxophone Music
For beginning students, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, along with my own personalized sound and technique exercises. After getting a grasp of the fundamentals - depending on the student's area of interest - I will either begin to introduce classical solo repertoire, jazz theory and transcription or concepts of a style of music the student is particularly interested in otherwise. Music composition is also one of my biggest passions, and I am always willing to introduce the wonderful world of writing your own music to my students, no matter their ability level. Read More
Instruments: Voice

I currently teach voice at Queens College as well as maintaining a private studio in Brooklyn. I have been performing for 14+ years professionally since graduating with my Bachelor's degree in 2007. Since then I have also been teaching for 6+ years both privately and at accredited colleges and universities such at Luther College (alumni lecturer in voice) and the University of Oklahoma (graduate assistant).
