I learn something new from every student, love seeing my students improve and gain confidence in themselves. I ask that students come with an open mind and be prepared to make mistakes because no piece is perfect and neither are lessons. Lessons give you the opportunity to make mistakes without judgement. You can trust me to always have a positive attitude, it is OK to make mistakes, but practice to play better, and enjoy the feedback to see yourself improve! Read More

I love teaching the art of music. I get very excited when I see a student switch on to a new technique or idea that I've helped them realize. Most of my lessons have been for beginners who just wanted to get started to novice players who wanted to learn more. Guitar is a fun instrument with many applications and methods a player can use. I strive to bring those methods into my lessons so that my student gets the most out of their musical experience. Read More

I began teaching during the end of my college years, when an assignment for a pedagogy class on voice included taking on a student for several months and working with them. I found the experience to be fulfilling and self revealing as to how I understood my own concept of singing. Since then, I have recently begun teaching a number of students who, thanks to my experiences as a resident artist with an opera company and recent performances with festivals, I feel have more to gain from me. It will actually be my first experience at teaching. I'm glad to have chosen Musika for this new experience and can't wait to teach new students what I learnt from my own teachers. I want to transmit my knowledge in drums the best I could and make it fun for everybody. I will make the lesson about the student and what he/she likes and go from there. At the end of the lesson, I just want the student to have learnt new things in a enjoyable way and hope that it will make him/her wants to play and learn more about the instrument. Read More
