I am a singer/songwriter/keyboardist. I graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Salem State University, where I studied voice piano. I have a background in musical theater and have been performing in shows for about ten years. I sing in the band and the choir weekly at Second Congregational Church in Peabody. Eventually adding some beginner adult students into my rotation of kids as well! The first half of a typical voice lesson is spent on vocal warm-ups and vocalises. These consist of scales, arpeggios, vowel unification, breath work, etc. and have been accumulated from many teachers over a variety of traditions. Vocalises are the most important part of a solid vocal technique. The second half of lessons is spent working on repertoire either brought in by the student or assigned by myself.
