My methods are to introduce an easy-to-understand base in music theory and applied music by explaining it based on how the music makes us feel. For beginners who are children, I begin with the essential topics such as how to hold the instrument and how to play simple scales and exercises. Once they are ready, we can begin introducing simple songs and chords that teach the fundamentals in a fun and engaging way. Read More

I teach combination of the Suzuki method and the Hungarian style (stressing the natural, comfortable, painless, tension free method). For young students, the Suzuki method is great, since the repertoire is all fun! Also the CD that comes with every level is vital! Children enjoy and benefit from that. I am an audiophile, so I can set up students with a quality hifi system on the cheap - this is so vital in Suzuki method, as he stated in his book, Nurtured With Love. Read More

For beginning piano students, I love using Alfred lesson books. I like focusing on scales and using proper technique. For violin, I like using Suzuki, but I dont use Suzuki method. Focus is on scales and simple solo rep. I encourage composition at all ages and love finding a system that works for the individual student. Regular practice is encouraged. I am big on positive reinforcement and will be my students biggest cheerleader, even when I need to get firm about techniques. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private voice students in Switzerland. When I moved to California in 2003 I continued teaching in my home studio and at music stores in my area. Slowly I started to expand my expertise into different genres and incorporate piano and guitar in my lessons. I have prepared many students to get roles in Musical Theatre Local Plays, pass auditions to Performing Arts Programs and prepared them to get admitted into music colleges. Read More
Instruments: Voice
This line of work allows me to reinforce my teaching skills as I have to be able to teach and explain to my students very dense and complex terms. Music is very similar to computers in that they both must be learned in small increments or steps in order to see the bigger picture. During my graduate studies, I had the opportunity to teach young adults and adults alike. This experience allowed me to widen and increase the breadth of my studio and reach out to all age groups. Instruments: Voice
I am extremely friendly and super encouraging. I am great at judging whether students would like to be pushed vocally or need some more time. I am very encouraging and positive while also providing guidance and experience. I very much believe in my students and want them to get the most out of there lessons. I am always so excited and passionate when I see my students improving and excelling vocally. Read More
