My approach is "Music as a support for life." We learn beyond the technical foundations but also about the intention of an author-composer in order to give a genuine rendition true to the intended emotion. Each student is treated as a unique individual and are brought to rise to the challenges they gave themselves with my caring passion for the art of music making and my respect for the student. I have been teaching for the last 14 years for other music schools as well as my home studio. I love to help new students from the ages of 4-99 in learning the joys of playing an instrument or instruments that they are going to enjoy. Nothing truly satifies me more than to see a student advance in their insturment as each lessons passes by. Daily quality and not quantity practice is something I like to encourage the student to be able to advance much faster in mastering the instrument. Read More

Active Participation: I prioritize active participation during lessons. Rather than passive instruction, I engage students through interactive exercises, discussions, and collaborative activities. This keeps them engaged, encourages critical thinking, and facilitates a deeper grasp of concepts. Progressive Challenges: I believe in challenging students progressively. Each lesson builds upon the previous one, introducing new concepts and techniques while reinforcing what has been learned. This gradual approach ensures that students are continually challenged while still feeling supported. Read More

As I refine my own skills as a singer through performance experiences, I am eager to pass along the knowledge I have learned to the next generation of students and enthusiastic amateurs. Music is meant to be shared and I cannot wait to give you the tools to unlock your creative potential. As students develop, I hope to inspire a deep appreciation for all types of music through creative repertoire choices and varied ways of thinking about music. Read More

When I take on a new student I first want to gauge what their goals are, what music they like, assess ability/level, and start building trust. From there we will learn various warm-up and vocal exercises to get their voice strong and flexible. Together we will choose a song to work on during our lessons that is fun for the student and applies use of the vocal strengthening exercises. Read More
