As students progress, we branch out to pieces that interest them as well as continue to challenge their ability to play to the level they desire. I can adapt duration of lesson times for each student, depending on their age and attention level. Piano technique, theory and performance music is given to enhance their learning. My first experience teaching was in Marching band camp as a junior and senior in high school. As I became an veteran upperclassman, it became my job to teach the younger Freshmen and Sophomores how to march and play in the marching band. I use a combination of both classical and popular music to get my students excited about music and customize my teaching to best fit each unique student. I graduated in 2015 from Albion College with degrees in both Vocal Performance and Cell Molecular Biology. I then went on to get my MM from Bowling Green State University in Vocal Performance with an Opera Concentration. I have also spent time studying language and opera in both Italy and Vienna.
