I try to meet every student at their level. I mold my lessons to the student's aspirations and goals. If a student is only taking lessons for fun, then the repertoire we choose can be very flexible. If they are trying to get into college or to audition for a program, we will choose repertoire together that is appropriate and puts them in the best light. I will push a student proportionally to how hard they work. Read More

I believe in a holistic approach to music education, starting with the foundational elements that ensure long-term success. I use the Faber Piano Adventures series, which I myself learned from as a young pianist, to ensure the proper learning of fundamentals. From the beginning, I incorporate music theory and aural skills/ear training to foster a comprehensive understanding of music. Repertoire is carefully assigned according to the student's level, with pieces becoming progressively more advanced at the appropriate times. Read More

My teaching methods vary depending on the needs and desires of each individual student, however I generally try my best to maintain a steady balance of academic practice and fun. I've taught students of piano & voice ranging from ages 3 to senior citizen, so I understand that every student needs to be approached differently.
