I've been playing the piano and singing since 2008, when I began my formal training in both disciplines. Although my primary focus is in classical music, I have also had years of experience in Jazz, Musical Theatre, and Pop genres with both instruments. I expect students to practice to show weekly improvement. I encourage younger students by rewarding them with stickers if they do a go job when they play their selections for me. Every student is encouraged to improve and have fun at the same time. There is a year end recital where students will perform and showcase what they have learned during the year. I do focus more on skills: developing the Voice (developing a belted voice, head voice, or whatever is needed) and Performance, unless Music theory is requested.
