I started teaching private piano lessons and music theory classes during my college years at a private school in Tampa, Florida. I strive to maintain a relaxed, approachable, and engaging atmosphere in my lessons, rooted in mutual respect and empathy. My primary goal is to help each student achieve their individual musical aspirations, drawing from my extensive experience in music pedagogy to ensure our time together is as effective as possible. I firmly believe that daily practice is essential, incorporating exercises in fundamentals, repertoire practice, and sight reading. Each lesson will cover these components, along with ear training and music theory, to provide a comprehensive and well-rounded musical education. Read More

For young beginers I like to start out with basics. Knowing the essential components and upkeep on your instrument are just as important as knowing how to play it. Adults need different teaching styles, we would begin with the reasoning behind Your learning and drive the lessons around what works best for you and your goals. Read More

I enjoyed growing up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and had the privilege of starting piano lessons when I was seven years old and violin lessons when I was nine. I continued my study of both instruments through high school and into college where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Pedagogy. I completed a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance, May 2017; and, am currently pursuing a second Masters degree in Accompanying at Florida State University where I am an opera accompanist. Instruments: Guitar Violin Viola Ukulele Mandolin Fiddle Music
For me the most important thing in lessons is to get students to play. After all, that's why they're here! From your very first lesson, I will have you playing simple parts in duet with me, so you get to make music from day one! I combine these simple exercises with learning notes and technique, so you'll always have a variety of skills to work on. For all students, I focus on helping them to hear their own mistakes, figure out what is wrong, and know how to fix it. Read More
Instruments: Trumpet Trombone Saxophone Bass Guitar Euphonium Tuba
For beginners, I like to provide a custom packet of mine in which I send to my students to not only assess their current aptitude on the instrument but the packet will serve as a their fundamental guide in order to stay focused on progressing even while learning new and exciting music of their own choosing. Moving forward with Advanced, Intermediate, and Professional level students, I like to provide each level student the same materials and recommend the same books but in terms of personal music goals and solo repertoire, I would tailor the works to that student's progress level and what they plan to accomplish during our time together.
