I like to show students first, visually and audibly, how a piece or an excerpt goes that way they can begin to learn it already knowing a basis. I try to let students play through their pieces as much as they can so they can become adjusted playing through an entire piece and not just small segments. Of course, I will let you know which notes are needed to be fixed and timing issues as well so they when you play through again you think about those specific things and try to correct them. I am a graduate of Olaf College, where I received my Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance (‘21). I played in the first violin section of the St. Olaf Orchestra, and have toured with them throughout the United States and abroad to notable venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Oslo Opera House. During my senior year, I served as co-concertmaster of the orchestra.
